    Hi,

I recently got my BSNL Broadband connection done & am faced with the following problem:

The broadband connection gets disconnected if the telephone line is connected to my cordless phone (whether power ON or OFF). Also the connection gets severed if the cordless phone is power ON whether telephone line is connected or not. :(

Hopefully someone will know the solution to above problem, if yes, pls lemme know.

connect all phones AFTER the ADSL splitter. No phone to be connected direct to BSNL phone junction in any room.

check the link for WA3002-g4 below.
    same as your modem/router.

    Hi

Thanks for the suggetion bro, will try as you suggested & reply if it worked. :)

Thanks for the advice bro, but having done as suggested by you I'm still faced with the same problem. As soon as I turn on my cordless phone, the DSL light on the modem/router starts to flicker. :(

Is it possible that the cordless interferes with the broadband signal.

Can you suggest any change of equipment, whether the cordless or the modem/router??? One which are more compatible with each other.

Luking 4ward to ur valuable advice.

Probably the AC adapter for the cordless phone
( smps type) could be one reason. plug it
far away from the modem/system to a different plug point.
Cordless Freq matters and check yours.
( usually for WIFi mode )
    Post Statistics/ ADSL data.
copy Paste snr attn line rate rate only.

    Hi...

    Hi bro,

    tks again

My cordless phone is plugged in a different room. I'm not too techno savy so can't tell if it is smps type or not.

The operating frequency as written on the cordless is 5.8 GHz & further on says "Digital Gigahertz", could this be the problem?

    No.
I am also using same Cordless Uniden 5 .8 GHz ( should not affect) 2 feet from system modem.
Better try with a normal telephone, and give feedback.
Post as annexure Screenshot Jpg picture

    Hi...

    Hi bro,

My cordless is a Panasonic KX-TG5631 & is kept in a different room.

presently the normal phone is connected to the modem & am using the wi-fi on my laptop but, soon as I either switch on the power plug for the cordless or even if I connect the telephone cable to it even it power plug is off, the broadband connection disconnects. :(

    luking 4ward to ur advice.

My modem/router is the one provided by BSNL:

The cordless in a different room, connected
DIRECTLY to a Phone Junction or through additional ADSL splitter ? Take RJ11 cable from the PHONE port of ADSL splitter to the base unit of Cordless phone.

Your line conditions are bad. should reduce to
    less than 30 dB download.
Call Bsnl line man to check for bad contacts/ oxidization/ blackening of contacts/ joints etc.
If telephone line pair is running in close proximity to house wiring , also problem may arise.
Are you using a power board having a Surge limiter ? If not try for Cordless base power adapter.

I tried to connect the cable with RJ-11 Jack coming from the splitter to the cordless & it seems to be working now. :)

The problem now is, I have internal wiring for telephone connection in all rooms, so can't avoid a parallel connction unless I place the modem/router out of the house b4 it is connected to the internal wiring of the house.

Can we do something about it???

For each extension phone Use Additional
ADSL splitter ( cost Rs 50 to Rs 75/=).
Modem anyway is connected to Main Phone junction DIRECT even when you use an ADSL splitter.
Any improvement in Attn data ?
Other extension phone/s ( recommended limit :3 or four Phones ) can remain in cradle.

Thanks a lot bro for all the help.

As for attenuation, I checked again. It's still the same. Will try to get BSNL lines man to attend to this problem.

Will get the additional ADSL splitters tommorow & try out again. Will let you know if it works.

Can you pls tell me wat exactly does the ADSL splitter do?
  18. essbebe

ADSL splitter: It gives an easy path to Phone audio frequencies, and blocks the BB data signal which is of higher frequencies..

    MORE "GYAN"==>>
    2.
sometimes you will find BB internet is working and Not phone, and visa versa.
"Hissing "noise in the phone earpiece,
means ADSL splitter is faulty, or RJ11 cables wrongly connected to filter.

see link ( about 90KB picture) for the filter circuit .
