    To access modem menu UT300R2

which modem you are using to access this forum now ?

    Try ID admin PW: utstar
the ip address is the default gateway given in IP config /all
    If no access still
    Disconnect from Reliance
    follow instructions here.
    ut300r2

    192.168.1.1 etc.
    If still unable to open
    RESET and try.
You may not connect to Reliance , after factory settings restored.

    Hi,

only way is Hardreset the modem 4 times...On the rear side of the modem you have pin hole kind of the reset button. Press that button andhold it for 20
seconds and then wait till the lights on the modem get steady. Follow the same process for 4 times and then check you will be able to ping the DG and will be able to pull the modem interface.

Reliance modem page will never open. I had broken my head many times but all useless.I do not know why they have kept like this, may be because their connection is DHCP type, that is not always on, and you may not try to unbridge it or make it always on connection. Realy shrud.

Many friends may be from outside India or not knowing reliance connection very simply advice to open web page by 198.162.1.1 etc, but it does not work in case of reliance. It will never open. They have changed every thing, and the last solution is to reset the modem BUT PLEASE NEVER DO THAT because then you can not reconfigure it without basic data.

But I wonder why you want to open that. I also wanted that for play around with settings to make this connection always on, which is not at present. Anyway if any one of you can, please share.

    Hello friends,
It is a not a big deal to access the modem page of the modem provided by reliance.
The only reason that the page is not being accessible when you type "http://192.168.1.1" is that the DHCP server on the modem is "Disabled".
To access the modem, here you go
Set Static IP address to your NIC (or) LAN (or) Ethernet connection.

    For newbies,
Go to run (Win Key + R), type "ncpa.cpl" without quotes.
Select the Local Area Network Connection, i.e., the NIC (or) LAN card to which the modem is connected.
Right Click it, and select Properties.
    On the networking tab,
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) [In case of Windows 7 and above]
Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) [In case of Windows XP]
Then Click on the "Properties" Button.
    A dialog box will appear
Select "Use the following IP address:"
    Then Enter the following
    IP address: 192.168.1.2
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Leave other boxes empty.
    Click OK
    Then click Close

Open any of your favorite browser, type 192.168.1.1 in your address bar.

Now the login box of your modem should appear :)

Login with either of the following.
    Username: admin
    Password: admin
    (OR)
    Username: admin
    Password: password
    (OR)
    Username: admin
    Password:

Hope this will also work for you.
In case if 192.168.1.1 doesn't work for you, type replacing it with 192.168.0.1
To try with 192.168.0.1, set your ip address to 192.168.0.2

After making the changes or referring the settings with your modem, and to get back to normal mode to access the internet.
Set the IP address of your NIC (or) LAN Card to "Automatically obtain IP address" from the Properties.
