BSNL DSL Problems :(

    Since last night 10pm, my Bsnl link has gone. the link light on the modem is blinking and not becoming stable. I've tried disconnecting everything, checked the phone line if its working or not, but no use. I tried using the Windows 7 Repair tools but an error message came up. My Modem is a BSNL Teracom Type II Model No. - T2-B-Gawv1.4U10Y-BI

    i also get this in my router's setting - Your Router is not ready to connect to Broadband

    1. Which mode are you using ? PPPoE or Bridge ?

    2. Check the splitter. Replace it and try. You can also connect the line directly to the modem and check.

    3. Make sure that all the lines come after the splitter. Check this diagram

    4. Make sure the cable (RJ 11) to the DSL port is perfectly inserted. May be there is a loose contact.

    5. Check your modem settings with this link. Make sure it is configured properly.

    6. May be a temporary problem. Check with your neighbours. Report the issue to BSNL and get the line checked.

    1. The Mode is PPPoE LLC Bridged
    2. Tried that too still nothing
    3. They are connected the exact same way
    4. No The Wire is brand new
    5. yes thats the way its connected

    Hi,
    I am from Pune, and i have been facing the same issue since March 1st and the exact time that OP said, 10PM, and still the connection is not set. I checked with some of my friends in the same building and their connection is gone too. We have been trying to contact BSNL but could not get anybody from there. Can anybody help me by sharing the BSNL contact information for Pune. I live in Kharadi, so if there's a local BSNL contact nothing like it.

    Try the steps mention in post no. 2. If not working, complain here

    Also talk to the SDE of your exchange. Call customer care and ask for his no. You can also make your friends call later to get more attention. Nothing works better than a personal visit to the exchange. Do it if you can spare some time.

    If nothing works, a written complaint to Nodal officer and/or Appellate authority may help. ID and phone no on the backside of your bill. Call them and seek help.

    I plan to update the result. This is the first time I had any issue with BSNL BB since we took the connection in Jul 2009. This inconvenience caused should be helpful in reducing the recovery time in the future :)
