I will remain with BSNL because

1)It is Cheap and its plans suits to my pocket perfectly
    2)Gives Discount to Government Employees
3)In my city support is good

In South -We have a choice of Airtel,Aircel,Vodaphone apart from BSNL
Substitute Idea in Andhra instead of Voda.

Signal strength in where you use is more important than price.

BSNL signal is good everywhere except in my home in secunderabad.!
( Iam writing this thro BSNL 3G from chennai-no problem here .Infact in places like Srirangam down south I got very high speeds in BSNL 3G !)

Vodaphone signal (only chennai and no AP) is great in my place in chennai.
So I will say Vodaphone - and Iam going to recharge 5 GB- rs 1250 and keep it alive by rs 100-100mb/30 days recharge and use whenevr BSNL 3g craps.

But caveat- you can not live with out BSNL 3G ever ( if you travel)
b'cos of all India B & C class towns coverage + roaming free ( no body else gives 3G roaming free)
In CDMA yes - I do have & use Photon plus roaming free .:D
